We went on a trip back to the Brecon Beacons to some waterfalls a little way south of Brecon.

The week before my sister arranged a family get-together around my birthday. George's cousin Joel was just starting to crawl. Here he is in the safe hands of Robert.

Tick tock

George's current obsessions are clocks and cars. Whenever he spots a clock or watch, he says "tik tak" which is pretty much how Czechs say tick tock. He is really enjoying walking now, but you can't take him to the shops without him wanting to stop and touch all the cars he sees on the way.
His spoken vocabulary is mainly Czech with some sounds, he imitates the noise of a car engine, a dog and a monkey (he has a monkey toy). In Czech he says Mummy, Daddy, Granny, Grandad, car, over there, there is, where is, flower, and a few other noises to indicate a rubbish bin, and that he needs his nappy changing, and that he is hungry. He understands quite a few words for things around the house, and other activities. Up to a point he will point at things to demonstrate that he understands. Most importantly, he now understands "no!" and sometimes even follows that instruction, whereas in the past he would pause, smile, then carry on.

Pocasi nam sice moc nepralo, ale nevadi :)

Hop skok prekulil se prvni rok...

Tak se po ostudne trimesicni odmlce zase konecne ozyvame. Georgik byl koncem ledna navstivit babicku, dedu, prababicky a celou nasi rozvetvenou rodinu v Cechach. Navzdory omezene snehove nadilce si prece jen uzil nekterych zimnich radovanek. Poprve se setkal s malou Rozarkou a zalumpacil si s Anickou, ktera uz je ted velka holka :).

V lednu take jsme poprve navstivili bratranka Joela v Loughborough. Georgik proti nemu pusobil jako maly obrik a pri posledni (breznove) navsteve byl dokonce nazvan "terrorist cousin" - pro svuj divoky zpusob zabavy - hopsani na miminkove houpadle a vymetani knihovnicek a stojanu na cdcka. Dalsiho prizviska se Georgikovi dostalo, kdyz byl na jeden vecer sveren do pece nasich kamaradu - manzel me pritelkyne prohlasil, ze je to, jako kdyby meli v loznici "Tasmanian devil" - Georgik se ke spanku opravdu nechystal. Georgik je vesela kopa, hodne se smeje a rekla bych, ze uz nas i ruzne pokousi. Jeho oblibena slova jsou stale mama, daddy a ee. Chodi kolem nabytku, uz umi bravurne z pohovky a dokonce i dolu ze schodu. Jeho posledni trik je vysplh na truhlicku na hracky, ze ktere uz staci se jen natahnout na okenni parapet - truhlicka se bude muset premistit...

Georgik absolvoval take expedici do Walesu s tetou Dianou - vystup na kopec za nepriznivych podminek - tatinek se opravdu zapotil. Georgikovi si spalo dobre. V minulych par tydnech jsme navstivili Georgikovu pratetu Yvonne a tety dvojcata. Meli tam moc dobre "cookies".

Minuly tyden nas byli navstivit babicka s dedou - a tak jsme slavne oslavili Georgikovy prvni narozeniny. Georgik nebyl bohuzel uplne ve forme, ale i pres antibiotika se tuzil. Deda upekl dort dortu - maminka si moc pochutnala, a myslim, ze i ostatni. Georgik dostal velky popelarsky vuz se tremi popelnicemi, Georgem a Lucy. Muzete si prijet pohrat. No a dnes jsme georgika pred koupanim poprve ostrihali - strojeckem, dokonce se na nas ani nezlobil. Tak dobrou noc vsem.
